How To Make A Strawberry Watermelon Cake
Making a cake out of watermelon is simple and of course, requires no baking. It's a great way to showcase your creativity and use up any fruits you have on hand. Plus, it's a dessert that looks as good as it tastes, making it perfect healthy treat to celebrate any occasion!

- Strawberries

Step-By-Step Instructions
Start by cutting off the ends of a medium-sized watermelon to create a flat surface on each end.
Peel the watermelon, removing all the green rind. To do this, set the watermelon down on one of the flat sides, and carefully trim the rind until just the pink is exposed. If it’s not already rounded, shape the watermelon into a round cake-like layer. For a multi-layered cake, repeat this process to create additional layers in the sizes you desire. I typically make a 2-3 layered cake!
Arrange the watermelon layers on a cake stand serving platter, stacking them if you've made more than one layer. You’ll want to secure the layers with 3 toothpicks. I typically make a triangle with the toothpicks and set the layer on the toothpicks to secure the layers.
Once all of the watermelon layers are stacked, it’s time to add the fruits! Be sure to wash all of the fruit first. I always add strawberries, grapes, blueberries, and blackberries. Cherries and raspberries are a few more of my favorites, but feel free to use whatever fruits are your favorite! Sliced melon, pineapple, kiwi, or figs are great as well. You may want to use toothpicks to secure the fruit.

Sometimes I like to sprinkle some pomegranate on the cake as well.
