This Daily Harvest Pineapple Matcha Smoothie has only 6 ingredients, and takes a couple of minutes to make. Who doesn’t love to start their day with a fresh tropical smoothie and a little caffeine boost?
Daily Harvest is a meal delivery company that prides itself in the quality and deliciousness of their food! The Pineapple Matcha smoothie is one of their smoothies and this is my copycat version. So, if you’re a matcha and piña colada fan you definitely have to put this smoothie on your list to make! It’s filled with pineapple, greens, quality matcha, unsweet coconut cream, fresh squeezed lime and a splash of real vanilla. This smoothie is vegan (if you don’t add the optional honey), gluten free, and so healthy. I hope you love this Daily Harvest Pineapple Matcha Smoothie!

Recipe Alternatives
This recipe is so delicious as is, but if you’d like to try some different combinations—I’m going to give you some ideas.
Fruit: Pineapple is the only fruit in this recipe, but you could try making it with mango, banana, or any variation of these three tropical fruits. Sometimes I like to add banana with the pineapple. I’ve even made this recipe using all three—pineapple, banana, & mango.
Greens: This recipe calls for kale, but spinach is a great alternative if you’re not a fan of kale. You can also omit the greens completely if you don’t like smoothies with greens.
Nut Milk/Cream: It’s hard to beat coconut cream! It adds a thick creamy richness to this smoothie. Although if you’re looking for something less calorie dense than coconut cream, try subbing it out for the nut milk you prefer.
Sweetener: Another personal preference. If you want a sweeter smoothie—I suggest adding honey. You can also use pure maple syrup, agave, date syrup, or more fruit as well to naturally sweeten the smoothie.
I hope this gave you some fun ideas to tailor this Daily Harvest Pineapple Matcha Smoothie to your liking. 💚
Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re drinking matcha to improve wellness, it’s definitely important to find high-quality matcha. You can find matcha in a lot of places like specialized tea shops, online retailers, and health food stores. Online stores like Amazon or websites of established tea companies provide a very good selection as well. I’d suggest buying matcha labeled "ceremonial grade" for the best taste and quality! This article goes over the Top 5 Matcha Tea Brands.
In my opinion, matcha is better when added to something (like this smoothie) or in latte form sweetened with honey or maple syrup.
I think coconut or oat milk is best in a matcha latte. Again, it all depends on personal preference.
I think the best sweeteners for matcha are honey or maple syrup. Of course if you’re adding matcha to a smoothie, fruits like pineapple, mango, and banana give it a delicious flavor as well.
Enjoy!
I hope you love this fresh smoothie and caffeine boost. It’s one of my favorite smoothies to make and leaves me feeling light and energized. If you’re trying to get off coffee in the morning, but want a drink to look forward to—this is an amazing alternative! Enjoy💚
