Life has been pretty sweet lately & such a whirlwind! This summer was a blur and I’ve honestly been excited for every weekend and excursion—I feel so lucky to be experiencing everything I am. As a food blogger, I’m always trying to come up with fun ways to fuel the adventure, find creative ways to do a recipe in the wilderness, prep ahead of time with fancy granola or healthy granola bars. It’s so much more fun being prepared…and let me tell you, the most rewarding thing is to enjoy a treat at the top of a 14er, after a hard rock climb, a long run, or coming in to the beach after challenging yourself surfing! With that being said Cocojune fueled the adventure in Washington!
We were headed to the Pacific Northwest in a couple weeks and my thoughts were running with ideas for adventure snacks, meals, desserts, you name it. I had never been to the Pacific Northwest and we got to enjoy its beauty for two weeks. We toured Olympic National Park, which has been on my bucket list for years and it really was extraordinary.
But like I was saying, I wanted to get creative on snacks for our excursions! A few ideas came to mind but we were going to be on the go. I wanted something easy to assemble, that didn’t require a nights prep, and something everyone would enjoy!
Cocojune
Finally, it dawned on me. A few weeks ago I had tried Cocojune yogurt and it is absolutely delectable, smooth, & comes in so many delicious flavors. It was decided! Cocojune would be fueling our adventures!
Cocojune & a bag of fresh berries sat in the cooler and ready to go wherever we went.
One of my favorite days of the trip was a rock climb by a river. We found this beautiful spot, the cliffs towered above and the river was crystal clear. In Colorado we aren’t typically climbing by a body of water. Like I said before, you could see through the river like it was glass. It was cold but just warm enough to take a dip after a climb! We all sunbathed and spent the day just enjoying the beauty of the moment, the physical activity and time together. Of course, Cocojune, the Strawberry Unsweet flavor to be exact, made an appearance!
After a long climb we topped the yogurt off with fresh blueberries and everyone enjoyed out of the same container—the best!
The Sweetest of Feelings
Ahhhh, the feeling of something refreshing and sweet after a workout. Something I absolutely love about the Cocojune brand is their products are filled with probiotics, they’re organic, and truly make me feel amazing and nourished! I was surprised at how naturally sweet the Strawberry Unsweet tastes—seriously unbelievable, creamy, and like ice cream!
While that was one of my favorite days—there was so much more to come! We woke up at 4:30 one morning and headed to surf. The water was ice, even in wetsuits. It was the first time I had experienced surfing in the cold, and it was an experience to put it lightly! We got home early that afternoon & had to once again, fuel the adventure…Cocojune with granola and berries was definitely the move!
A Different Kind of Beauty
Every place we went felt enchanted, like a movie scene. I was in awe of the beauty and how everything grew so lush and green! Colorado has it’s own majestic beauty but in such a different, rugged way. The Pacific Northwest was softer, inviting and dreamy! And while Cocojune fueled the adventure in Washington, I’ll keep you updated on what fuels the next!
