How To Make A Coffee Mocktail

Ingredients

• ½ Cup Coffee or Espresso (cubes or fresh)
• 2 Tablespoons Creamer I used Nut Pods
• ¾ Cup Nut Milk
• ½ Tablespoon Honey
• 1 Teaspoon Instant Coffee

Toppings

• Cocoa Powder

Coffee Mocktail Step-By-Step

For an extra special touch, I like to freeze my espresso into cubes ahead of time. This keeps the drink chilled and slightly icy without diluting it with regular ice! If you want to try this, simply freeze ½ cup of coffee or espresso in ice cube trays. I use an adorable silicone heart tray for a fun twist!

Start by preparing your glass. Line the rim with honey, then dip it in cocoa powder for a delicious and decorative touch.

Next, in a blender, combine the frozen espresso cubes, ½ cup of nut milk, creamer, and honey. Blend until smooth and pour the mixture into your prepared glass.

In a separate bowl, blend or whisk ¼ cup of nut milk with the instant coffee until it's nice and foamy. Gently pour this foam over the espresso mixture in your glass.

Sprinkle a bit of cocoa powder on top to finish and serve immediately.

Alternative Nut Milks & Creamers!

I know you’re probably wondering—if you don’t have these exact ingredients, will you still get the experience! The answer is YES!

There are so many fun creamers, dairy milks, alternative milks, flavors, and add ins! I use my absolute favorites, but it is totally up to you and your palette! Nut Pods (Cookie Butter) is kind of my guilty pleasure when it comes to coffee, so in my opinion, it’s the best! BUT your favorite creamer or even milk will fill in perfectly here.

As for milk options—I like to use nut milk. I tend to go back and forth on types. My go to is definitely coconut milk or pistachio milk—they add an extra creamy, rich texture that is quite irresistible! The runner up to those two milks is almond, and then oat! But again, whatever you like is what you should use—we all get used to our favorites!

Sweetener! This is another ingredient that is totally up to you! I like to use honey or maple syrup. If I’m looking for a cozy fall, caramel flavor—maple syrup is the winner! If I’m wanting that natural, fresh & light sweetness that honey brings—honey all day! Another fun way to sweeten is grinding dates with the mixture! Of course there are plenty of other options as well—agave syrup, coconut sugar, & zero calorie sweeteners! Again, totally a preference thing—I put my favorites in the recipe!
