How To Make Easy Garlic Parmesan Sauce
I love how simple this homemade recipe is! It truly is the perfect quick recipe for adding a gourmet touch to your meals—I get so many compliments any time I serve it to someone new. So, let’s make it!
Ingredients
- 1 Bulb Garlic roasted
- 1 Cup Parmesan shredded
- 1 Cup Avocado Mayo
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Step-By-Step Instructions
First things first, roast the garlic. This step is really important and makes the recipe unbelievable. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Cut the top of the garlic bulb, this will help it roast better. Get out a piece of foil and set the garlic bulb in the foil. Pour a splash of olive oil onto the garlic bulb, wrap it up, and roast it in the oven for about 40 minutes. While the garlic roasts, be sure you have all of your other ingredients ready.
Once the 40 minutes is up, squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their little pouches and into a blender or food processor. Add the shredded Parmesan, avocado mayo, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Blend on low until you have a smooth, creamy sauce. Enjoy on anything & everything!

Easy Garlic Parmesan Sauce Alternative Ingredients
Avocado Mayo Alternatives: While avocado mayo adds a rich and creamy texture, you can substitute it with regular mayonnaise or even Greek yogurt.
Dairy-Free Options: If you’re looking to make a dairy-free garlic Parmesan sauce, replace the Parmesan with a vegan alternative or nutritional yeast. Nutritional yeast provides a cheesy flavor while keeping the sauce vegan and dairy-free.
Roasted Garlic Alternatives: If you’re short on time, you can use garlic powder or pre-minced garlic in place of roasted garlic. Although I think the roasted garlic is what really makes this recipe!
Lemon Juice Alternatives: Lemon juice adds a fresh, zesty note to the sauce. If you don’t have lemon juice on hand, apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar can be used as a substitute. These alternatives will provide a similar tangy flavor.
Spices and Seasonings: Feel free to experiment with other seasonings to customize your sauce. Smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, or fresh herbs like basil or parsley can add different flavor.
Different Cheese Options: Parmesan is a key ingredient, but you can also try using Romano or Asiago cheese for a different flavor profile. These cheeses offer a similar texture but bring their own unique taste to the sauce.
